We are sharing the faith, growing in grace,                         committed to service, and working for unity in the kingdom.

For over 160 years there has been a church, in this community, that has identified itself with a movement to restore the church as it is found in the new testament. As a member of that movement, Burnettsville Christian Church desires to reproduce in doctrine, in life, and in practice a church that follows the pattern that is found on the word of God.

TO EXALT Christ as the head of the church.
TO RESTORE Christianity to its New Testament ideal.
TO BUILD the Lord’s church without a denominational name, man made creed, or other barriers to Christian unity.
TO LEAD sinners to Christ by the simple, clear, New Testament plan of salvation.
TO GROW as a congregation unto a level of spiritual maturity that reflects the qualities of Christ.
TO SERVE mankind by loving people to the extent that we become actively involved in meeting their needs

We wear no name but the one His followers were given in the bible. (Acts 11:26)
We accept no creed but belief in Christ. (Matthew 16:16)
We have no rule of faith and practice but God’s word. (II Timothy 3:16,17)
We observe His communion as the New Testament directs. (Acts 20:7 & I Corinthians 11:23-30)
We submit to Him in baptism as it was performed by the New Testament church. (Romans 6:4)
We are a free and independent church, ruled only by a board of elders, with no denominational hierarchy. (Acts 14:23)
We preach Jesus Christ and His word. (II Corinthians 4:5)
We study regularly to strengthen our knowledge, character, and service. (II Timothy 2:15)

“Where the scripture speak, we speak; where the scriptures are silent, we are silent.”
“In faith, unity; in opinion, liberty; and in all things love.”
“We are not the only Christians, we are Christians only!”
